Travel! It’s the best form of education
When I was a kid – that was in the sixties – we drove to Holland for summer holidays. Every year. The whole family of six in one Ford 17m with a big tent and the complete equiment for four weeks on board… Later we went to enjoy the en vogue Côte d‘ Azur since my nerdy brother had to improve his French. That didn’t work too well, but my father was quick at learning all he needed from the guys who ran the winery next to the resort.
I loved my father and absolutely liked this attitude… I think it resulted in my later love for wine and meeting people. And that’s for sure: People in the wine, drink, food and hospitality business are fun to meet:
